We send out about 10-12 educational emails per year to our “Friends of Midwest Permaculture” email list. Each email has something that we think is particularly interesting or fascinating. The best of these – what we call “the juice” – is posted in our “Best of Blog”.
We will also keep you informed of our upcoming schedule of trainings and different kinds of permaculture events. You can easily unsubscribe at any time and we never share our email addresses with anyone…Ever.

Midwest Permaculture Design Charrette
The Second Installment Of Our Design
As you recall, we headed up to John and Ann Hippensteel’s, Wind & Sun Farm at the end of June to create a permaculture design for their homestead and surrounding acreage (40-acres in total) near Sturgeon Bay, WI.
We’ve now posted the second part of our design which covers the NW corner of the property (shown in the picture to the right; the cream colored squiggles are places where erosion has occured). You can see the first part of the design here.
We will continute to post the remaining parts of the design on our blog over the coming weeks. If you want to be sure to see all 4 parts, you can subscribe to our blog by email right from our blog page. We usually only post once or twice a week.

Chicagoland Permaculture Meetup
Rocket Stove Timelapse Video
This Labor Day weekend the Chicagoland Permaculture Meetup built a rocket stove out in Woodstock, IL. Milton captured the first day of it’s construction and created a video to document the event. You can see both the video and an explination of the inner workings of the stove on our blog.
