2011 MREA

Becky, Milton and I led two workshops today at the MREA.  Can’t tell you how rewarding it is for us to have people respond so positively to the subject of permaculture and Transition Towns.   We will be offering two more workshops tomorrow.  It’s been a good weekend.

Thank you to the MREA for creating such an important event!

Permaculture Workshops at the MREA Energy Fair

The MREA Energy Fair
June 17-19, Thousands to Attend

Midwest Permaculture Hosting 6 Workshops

If you are available to travel to central Wisconsin for this annual event, it is well worth the time and relatively small expense. Those attending can learn more in this one weekend than reading books for an entire year.

Not only do you get the information on hundreds of topics related to sustainable living, but you can talk face to face with people who are doing the work and writing the books.

The workshops are free with admission to the fair which is only $35 for the whole three days.  If you do attend, please stop by our booth and introduce yourself. Becky and I enjoy meeting those who get our newsletter.  Milton Dixon will be joining us for the weekend and Wayne Weiseman will be with us on Friday.

Michigan Speaking Tour

Picture Summary of Michigan Speaking Tour
As most of you are aware, I recently spent the better part of a week in S.E. Michigan on a speaking and consulting tour. Our events were well received and I learned much about grassroots initiatives that are pioneering the way into a more sustainable and compassionate world in Detroit, Flint, Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti. This picture summary will share some of the highlights and offer some good permaculture examples and ideas to most everyone.
