This is a quick homemade DIY solution to manage flies around our goats. All it took was some sticky flypaper, a bucket and a few screws.
Take a look at our video short…
We used to use the fly catchers that hold water (stinky…!) and the sticky curly strips that pull out of the tubes to capture flies. Those were always a pain and a mess to replace. This fly paper solution has been much simpler, cleaner and HOLDS 1,000 MORE FLIES…! We and the goats couldn’t be happier!

Enjoy! We love this fly trap.

I’ve seen a guy on youtube do something like this. He broke the reproduction cycle in his pasture after about 2 weeks and the plague was over! Just a normal amount of flies after that. His method was awkward, though, covering a all sides of a cardboard box. This is a simple solution! Looks easy to maintain, with less waste and more time efficient. Thanks for sharing!
Yup… we probably both watched the same video, Toby. We just took his good idea and made some improvements for situation. Now… someone else will take this idea and take it even further. Thanks Toby.
